Community Relations

You can expect community involvement from Kohl’s.

Every day, all across the country, Kohl’s is taking a leadership role in supporting our communities and neighborhoods. Through programs involving our company and our Associates, we invest time, effort and funding toward health and educational opportunities for children.

Kohl’s Cares for Kids® is not just a program, it’s a promise of hope for a brighter, healthier future for kids in our communities. Throughout the year, Kohl’s sells special merchandise in our stores, with 100% of the net profit benefiting health and educational opportunities for children nationwide. To date, we have donated more than $60 million to help keep kids safe and healthy.

Our partnership provides more than 75 children’s hospitals with the opportunity to reach hundreds of thousands of families through health education advocacy and new therapies for childhood illnesses.

Kohl’s Kids Who Care® is our annual scholarship program that recognizes and rewards kids who contribute to their communities in meaningful ways. Kohl’s customers are invited to nominate a student between the ages of 6 and 18 who volunteer in their community.

Nominees can ultimately receive one of ten $5,000 scholarships, and $1,000 is contributed by Kohl’s to a nonprofit organization on behalf of each national winner. More than 1,000 young volunteers were recognized in 2006.

Kohl’s A Team. Through the Kohl’s A Team, Associates volunteer their time and talent to support youth-serving organizations. Kohl’s supports their efforts with a corporate grant given directly to charity.

Kohl’s Fundraising Card Program is a simple, effective way for schools and other youth-serving nonprofit organizations to raise money to purchase supplies and equipment.
