The story of Kohl’s is a story of fast-paced and exciting growth. We plan to open approximately 100 stores each year over the next three years. By the end of fiscal 2010, we plan to operate over 1,200 stores all across the country. Our expansion strategy includes entering new markets and expanding our presence in existing markets through new stores and takeovers of existing retail sites.
Not only does this growth provide career opportunities in our stores, it also creates great job opportunities in our distribution centers and corporate office.

At the end of fiscal 2006, we operated 817 stores in 45 states. Our sales in fiscal 2006 were over $15 billion. Sales continue to grow at double-digit rates as we expand into new states and new markets.
