I came here looking for experience. And after a few days of challenging work with collaborative people, I knew I had come to the right place.

At Kohl’s, I supervise, unload and process all inbound freight to the distribution center. As part of this process, I manage the resolution of various problems associated with these receipts. Additionally, I help maintain production standards through the use of best practices and coach Associates to achieve acceptable performance standards. The efforts of my department have a direct impact on merchandise availability and customers’ shopping experiences throughout the stores.

I consistently strive to exceed expectations, and I feel that my performances are adequately recognized and rewarded. Our center is driven by results, and Kohl’s never fails to notice when they are achieved.

If I could compare the work environment to anything, it’d be a family atmosphere. Leadership and peers are concerned for everyone’s well being, which makes for a loyal foundation. You get a sense that everyone is in this together. We’re a team at one of the nation’s fastest-growing retailers. And we’re growing, and improving, together. The environment fosters a ‘can-do’ attitude, which carries over in everything I do both professionally and socially.
