Logistics
The Kohl's Logistics Network supplies our more than 800 stores with all the goods necessary to achieve our annual sales. The network is designed to achieve our operating principles of a) speed to store, b) shipment accuracy and c) 100% order fill rate. We are currently seeking logistics professionals to join our team as we continue our growth initiatives, which will reach 1,200 stores by the year 2010.

Managing the flow of goods from 2,000 vendors to more than 800 stores through ten distribution centers (DCs) requires attention to detail and clear, concise communication. Our domestic and import supply channels require Logistics Associates to have deep knowledge of local and foreign transportation networks, customs requirements, DC operations management, planning optimization and software, and vendor relations management.

The Kohl's Logistics Group supports the Allocation and Planning Group to ensure that goods arrive on time and as ordered to the stores in each region of the country. We also support and work with Store Operations to identify and implement innovative options for store delivery and local market assortments.

Departmental responsibilities include:

• Transportation — inbound to DC and store delivery, planning systems and new store openings
• Vendor Services — vendor requirements, packaging, compliance and floor ready requirements
• Distribution Operations — network strategy, field operations and engineering

Who's Involved?
The Distribution Division is led by the Executive Vice President of Logistics and is staffed with logistics professionals in the fields of transportation and distribution.
