Kohl’s Loss Prevention department is a team of highly trained Associates dedicated to the prevention of losses and the promotion of a safe working and shopping environment. Loss Prevention Associates throughout the organization are responsible for maintaining secure and efficient operating procedures in our stores, distribution centers, and corporate office.
Loss Prevention not only fills the role of theft prevention and investigation, but works closely with all Kohl’s personnel to verify the accuracy of both financial and unit system data.
Loss Prevention Associates fill roles in a variety of Kohl’s locations: selling, distribution, customer transaction, unit system accuracy and inventory control. These roles offer our Associates the opportunity to learn and grow in an exciting retail environment and develop the skills necessary to be successful in a variety of retail careers.
Departmental responsibilities include:
- Protecting all company assets and the ongoing integrity of all operations
- Ensuring the accuracy of book and physical inventories
- Planning, directing and calculating physical inventory processes
